Leadership Academy

With the rise of populist politicians across Europe, the UK and the USA, what does this tell us about leadership? Are the likes of Trump, Farage and others really versions of servant leadership, something transformational, simply autocrats, or maybe, to their supporters a redefinition of authentic leadership? Such leaders seem to attract and repel people in equal measure, so what does this tell us about our competing needs to both belong to a place we can call home and our desire to reach for the stars? Given how widespread populist politics is right now it must say something about what people need from leaders. How does your organisation manage the balance between the need to belong and the urge to progress?  Is leadership the same in all organisations, or does it need to vary.  What is your natural style and how should we make use of power?
